Dynamic Bones, Skinning & Animation Tool Development

This 12-week Advanced Maya Programming course, taught by Tenghao Wang, focuses on practical tool development for game character animation and rigging pipelines. Built around Python, the Maya API, and PySide2, the course progresses from development environment setup to building complete Maya tools and plugins. Students will complete three production-oriented projects: a Pose Library, a Skin Weight Tool, and a Dynamic Bone System. The course is designed to develop practical programming and tool-development skills for game rigging, animation, and technical art. ✅ Who This Course Is For Technical Artists (TAs) / Game Riggers / Character Animators: Those with basic Maya skills who want to automate repetitive tasks through scripting, build tools for character pipelines, and improve production efficiency.
