First-Person Shooter Animation Bootcamp

This bootcamp is designed for animators with prior animation experience who want to systematically advance in first-person shooter game animation. Across 12 weeks, master the design principles and production techniques unique to first-person perspective — build a portfolio-ready demo while learning how animation drives player immersion, tactical clarity, and overall game feel. Beyond animation craft, you will also learn how top-tier game teams collaborate, the animator's role within the pipeline, and what it takes to join the industry. • Application: Games, film/TV • Format: Live lectures + homework reviews + file-level feedback • Prerequisite: Submit a non-first-person animation reel (walk, run, jump, weight lift, etc.) • Demo weapon: Rifle-focused. Each student picks one weapon from pistol / rifle / sniper and stays with it for all 12 weeks.
